Cook the pasta following the instructions on the package.

Pour the olive oil into a pot and stir-fry the garlic.

Crush the tomatoes and add them to the pot, plus salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add the tomato sauce with basil and cook for another 15 minutes.

Taste the sauce to see if it needs more salt or pepper. You can also add a bit of sugar to balance the acidity.

Add basil leaves to the sauce and stir.

Mix the pasta with the sauce and serve hot.
